Congratulations to Elizabeth Park, a sophomore on the literary magazine staff, for winning a National Gold Medal from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. More than 110,000 students submitted nearly 320,000 works of art and writing to the 2020 Scholastic Awards, and Elizabeth's work placed in the top 1% of submissions! Although the award ceremony in New York City has been cancelled, student work will be published in the Scholastic Online Galleries at artandwriting.org in June. Their names will also be listed in the Yearbook 2020, a companion publication to The Best Teen Art and The Best Teen Writing anthologies which feature a selection of work by National Medalists.
