Providence writers took home 27 awards in the Scholastic Regional Writing Awards, including five Gold Keys and an American Voices Nominee.
The 2021 Mid-Carolina Region Scholastic Art and Writing Gold Key Ceremony will be held virtually on Saturday, February 20. The Gold and Silver Key Exhibition will be live at the Mint Museum Uptown from February 27 through April 11. This year the region will exhibit the full text of Gold and Silver Key writing winners instead of excerpt posters as in previous years. This is in keeping with national exhibitions. Gold Key winners are currently being judged at the national level, and awards will be announced March 17th. (Awards continue on page 2 of the document.)
